G' W🌎RLD: ECOWAS imposes 8 stiff Sanctions on Niger Republic over Coup [FULL LIST]

 


The Power of Heads of State and Legislature of the Financial People group of West African States, ECOWAS on Sunday gave over 8 firm endorses on Niger Republic over an upset that happened in the country a couple of days prior.

The choice was taken at a phenomenal meeting of the Authority directed by Tinubu in Abuja on Sunday.

It should be recalled that on Friday, General Abdourahamane Tchiani, Commander of the country's Presidential Guards, declared himself Head of a Transitional Government and detained President Muhammed Bazoum.

The Authority confirmed that it recognizes Bazoum as the legitimate president of the country at the meeting on Sunday. It also announced that all commercial flights between the Niger Republic and ECOWAS member states would be halted and that the land border would be closed.

The Leader of the ECOWAS Commission, Omar Touray, reported the choice, saying that all Heads of Protection Staff of the part states will continue for a crisis meeting to plan on powerful methods for carrying out a potential military activity to reestablish Bazoum to office.

1. Conclusion of Land and air borders among ECOWAS and Niger.

2. Establishment of ECOWAS no flight zone to all business trips back and forth Niger.

3. suspension of all financial and commercial transactions between Niger and ECOWAS members.
