Garba urged President Bola Tinubu to be brave enough to resist pressure from France and the United States for the ECOWAS to take any military action against Niger in a Sunday post via his verified Twitter handle.

He stated, "The West, under France and the U.S have impeccably laid out a Snare for ECOWAS to go into a complete conflict in the locale. Any slip-up of military mediation in Niger implies we are finished with.


“President Tinubu must have the courage to resist French and American pressure on ECOWAS to take any kind of military action against Niger. We should utilize a non-motor, political methodology.

“If we make the mistake of using military force in Niger, we may end up creating more internal problems for ourselves and jeopardizing the hard work we put into establishing a democratic government.

"The reality of the situation is, West Africa has neglected to safeguard a majority rules system. Our only choice right now is not to completely destroy our region in the interest of Western Powers and against our security interests, but rather to learn from our mistakes and avoid repeating them.
